International medical instruments exhibition was held in Dubai, Middle East for 4 days from 26th last month. 70 persons from 23 Korean companies participated in the exhibition and made 40.4 million dollars worth negotiations. The amount in the actual on-site contract reached 8,120 thousand dollars. This was increased by 67.5% comparing to last year’s same exhibition.

Mr. Jung-Suek Ko, CEO of HUMANMEDITEK, who are exporting low-temperature plasma sterilizer to the Middle East area, said, “Our products have price competitiveness against U.S.A. products and their anti-U.S.A. emotion help us. Local buyers show great interest on our products.

Mr. Byeong-chul Ahn, a manager of Korea Medical Instruments Industrial Cooperative recently went to the Middle East, “There is a significant trend the Middle East dealers intended to buy products made in Korea.”

KOTRA recently named bulldozer, loader, plastics, medical instruments, PDA, burglar alarm, bell siren, computer, vacuum cleaner, optical fiber cable, magnetic tape and tire as the products which can be increased market share by our companies in the Middle East market dominated by U.S.A.

Hee Hong Deputy Manager of overseas survey team in KOTRA said, “The export products to the Middle East were traditional items such as plant, construction and chemical fiber. But recently they become diverse such as medical instruments and tires.” And “If we aggressively enter into the Middle East market in this friendly environment, we can make big success.”
