Seoul, Korea Republic - October 13, 2004 - Humanmeditek Co., Ltd. has introduced its newest flagship low temperature plasma gas sterilizer, HMTS-142, in MEDICA 2008, Düsseldorf, Germany.

Its unique method of plasma generation
While Radio Frequency Plasma electrode surrounds inside of entire chamber circularly, HMTS’s plasma is supplied by isolated plasma chamber. The error is likely to occur sensitively when there is no space between a product to be sterilized and surface of the chamber. Accordingly, the remote Plasma can provide better spacious efficiency at same chamber volume. Consuming less energy from smaller plasma chamber, also, leads to less running cost.
Unique processes maximize the performance of sterilization
The sterilization process, Vacuum 1 - Diffusion 1 - Vacuum 2 with Plasma 1 - Diffusion 2 - Plasma 2 - Vent & Dry, developed by Humanmeditek’s R & D center contributes to the maximum power of sterilization. The combination of the time, temperature and level of pressure and its density of hydrogen peroxide guarantee you with the unprecedented performance not only at surface sterilization, but also sterilization of cannulas.
HMTS plasma sterilizers have been validated for stainless lumens with 1 mm diameters and 50 cm in length and soft lumens with 1 mm diameter and 10 meters in length. The validated data covers most of scopes in use in the current medical procedures.

- Embedded System
As an Operating System of HMTS-142, a GUI (Graphic User Interface) system based on Microsoft’s Windows is used for user advantage. For that reason, anyone can manipulate the system with familiar OS.
In addition, user history is possibly identified by the user log-in system operate HMTS-142.
- Self Diagnosis Function
One of magnificent functions of HMTS-142 is the self diagnosis function that diagnoses temperature, pressure, and time automatically in daily routine test of equipment. Every user can operate the diagnosis process by just one touch on the LCD monitor.
8.4 inch liquid crystal display and audible alarm provide operator with proper information. Built-in printer and USB memory generate system performance record and data storage for each cycle.
- Net-working Function
A traceability system is provided through Ethernet based on TCP/IP to monitor the history of sterilization. The users can confirm the result of sterilization at the CSSD via Central Monitoring System within the real-time. Moreover, Remote service can be provided when a problem occurs during the diagnosis process through the net-work system.
Most languages that used in the world are loaded in the HMTS-142. User can select their own language by tough the LCD monitor without any additional data input. Announcements when error or alarm situation are, also, pronounce by multi-language.
- Dot Printer and USB port
Sterilization histories such as temperature, pressure, and time are printed by dot printer, which guarantees the requirement for the minimum data keeping period. USB port is also available for data back-up.
